Sauted Asparagus With Mushrooms |

I love this recipe and usually make it when I grill steaks. Ingredients:
1 bunch asparagus |
1 large shallot |
2 garlic cloves |
1/4 cup butter |
8 ounces shiitake mushrooms or 8 ounces baby portabello mushrooms |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Dice the shallot. 2. Dice the garlic. 3. Cut the woody tips off of the asparagus. 4. Bring a pot of water to a boil. 5. Boil the asparagus for 4 minutes. 6. Drain the asparagus. 7. Stop the cooking process by pouring cold water over the asparagus. 8. Melt the butter. 9. Saute the shallot and garlic. 10. Add the mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes. 11. Add the asparagus. 12. Season with salt and pepper. 13. Let Saute on low for 5 minutes. 14. Serve immediately,. |
