adapted from a recipe I found on Mrs cubbison's web site Ingredients:
1 lb turkey breakfast sausage |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 large onion, chopped |
4 celery ribs, chopped |
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley |
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped |
2 cups fat free chicken broth or 2 cups water |
2 (10 ounce) boxes herb-seasoned stuffing cubes |
Directions:
1. In a skillet, brown links until no longer pink. Remove from pan, cool so that you can slice into bite size pieces. Add olive oil to skillet along with onion, celery, parsley and garlic. Stir and cook until the vegetables begin to soften. Add chicken broth , stir and add stuffin’ mix. Stir and mix until the liquid is absorbed. Cover and let rest a few minutes. Put the stuffing mix In a greased 9” x 13” baking pan . Bake 350 for about 30 minutes or until slightly browned. |
