Sausage Sprouts

We served this on Thanksgiving and again on Christmas Day, everyone, even the sprout haters ate it up. Sis said, You really put your foot in this one. I guess that is a compliment?
Ingredients:
2 packages of fresh brussel sprouts, stems trimmed, halved and washed
1 package of sage sausage, mild
1/4 cup of white wine
3 leeks, cleaned and sliced into half moons
1 tbsp of vegetable or canola oil
generous pinch of salt
scant pinch of black pepper
a few zests of fresh nutmeg on the microplane
Directions:
1. Trim, stem, halve and wash the sprouts.
2. Put in microwave safe bowl, with the water left on them from washing.
3. Cover with wrap and steam in the microwave for 6 minutes at 50 percent power. Repeat in two minute intervals until just fork tender.
4. Drain.
5. While the sprouts are nuking away, brown and crumble the sage sausage in a large fry pan.
6. Drain on paper towels. Cook thoroughly.
7. Wipe out pan.
8. Heat oil, add leeks and cook until softened but not browned.
9. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg. Turn off to rest.
10. Right before serving, Turn heat to high, add wine, sprouts and sausage.
11. Toss and serve when all is piping hot.
