Sausage & Spinach Soup

Modified from a Cooking Light recipe - delicious!
Ingredients:
10 ounces sweet italian sausage
1 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 cup water
1 (15 ounce) can soybeans
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced petite tomatoes
3 (42 ounce) cans chicken broth
2 cups chopped baby spinach
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano
2 tablespoons grated romano cheese
Directions:
1. Remove casings from sausage. Cook it in a large sauce pan until browned, stirring to crumble. add the onion and garlic, cook for 2 minutes.
2. Stir in water, beans, tomatoes, broth. Cover and bring to a boil.
3. Remove from heat, stir in spinach, basil and oregano.
4. Sprinkle each serving with grated Romano cheese.
