Easy recipe to throw in the oven for a tasty Sunday brunch. Ingredients:
8 slices of bread cut into cubes |
1 package of frozen hash browns, thawed |
1 lb of rolled sausage |
1 sweet onion, chopped |
2 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
6 eggs |
2 cups half & half (or milk) |
1 tsp lawry’s season salt |
1/2 tsp pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook crumbled sausage and onion until brown. Drain well and set aside. 2. Spray a 9 x 13 casserole dish with cooking spray 3. Layer with bread cubes 4. Layer 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese 5. Layer with thawed hash browns 6. Layer with crumbled cooked sausage and onion 7. In a separate container, beat eggs with half & half, salt & pepper and pour over casserole 8. Top with remaining cup of cheddar cheese 9. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes until top is golden brown 10. Cool for 10 minutes 11. Serves 6-8 people |
