Easy but impressive appetizer Ingredients:
1 lb. sausage (if using breakfast links, drain and chop) |
12 oz. cream cheese |
1.5 cups chopped walnuts or mixed nuts (pecans, almonds, etc) |
1 shallot, minced |
dry thyme to taste |
salt to taste |
3 packages pillsbury crescent rolls |
Directions:
1. Mix sausage, cream cheese, nuts, thyme, and salt in a bowl 2. Unpack crescent rolls and cut triangles in half 3. Spoon mixture into center of crescent roll 4. Fold edges up to make pastry 5. Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes until pastry puffs and turns golden brown |
