Saw this on TV a while back. I'm always looking for a new salad to try and this sounded quite good. Ingredients:
4 pork sausages |
1 garlic clove |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
2 teaspoons mustard |
2 teaspoons honey |
1 pinch salt & pepper |
6 cups baby spinach leaves |
4 ounces blue cheese |
2 cups mushrooms |
Directions:
1. Remove the casings from the sausage and place in fry pan breaking it up to cook. While sausage is cooking, mix salad dressing. 2. Mix together 1 clove of garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, mustard, honey and the pinch of salt & pepper. Shake together to mix well. 3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the sausages and cook until done. 4. Assemble rest of salad. 5. Place spinach in bowl. Crumble blue cheese and add to spinach. Add the sausage/mushroom to salad. Add dressing and toss. 6. Can be served individually or in a serving bowl. |
