This originated from making sausage stuffing to go with turkey, but when I reversed the quantities, so that it was more meat than stuffing, it became a main dish in itself and soo cheap and simple. I like to serve it with a cauliflower cheese and roast parsnips. Ingredients:
1 lb bulk pork sausage |
170 g sage & onion seasoned stuffing mix |
1 large onion, diced |
Directions:
1. Make up the stuffing with slightly less water than directed. 2. Combine all the ingredients and place in a shallow baking dish. 3. Bake for 45 minutes at 190 degrees (half way through cooking, use a fork to mix it up so it doesn't just cook on the top). |
