This is from the 2003 Chrisco calender. Looks like an interesting varation on meatlaof. Just in case ingredients translate different for some, the sausage meat used is the meat inside link sausages. Ingredients:
500 g sausage meat |
350 g applesauce |
1 cup breadcrumbs |
1 onion, finely chopped |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
1 egg |
1/2 cup tomato sauce or 1/2 cup ketchup |
Directions:
1. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly, except the tomato sauce. 2. When the mixture is smooth and even, turn into a well greased 20ck loaf pan. Make sure the top of the meat is smooth, then spread the top with tomato sauce. 3. Bake at 180C for 1 hour, when sauce will have formed a crust. |
