SAUSAGE EGG BRUNCH CASSEROLE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Darwin Estate in Allen, Texas in 2001. Ingredients:
16 ounces shredded mexican four cheese blend |
10 eggs |
2/3 cup milk |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
2 tablespoons all purpose flour |
1 pound hot breakfast sausage |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325. 2. Butter a lasagna dish. 3. Spread cheese in bottom of dish reserving 1/2 cup to sprinkle on top. 4. Brown sausage and set aside. 5. Beat eggs well then stir in milk, salt, sugar, pepper and flour. 6. Gently stir in sausage. 7. Pour mixture over cheese in lasagna dish and cook for 35 minutes. 8. During the last 5 minutes of cooking sprinkle remaining cheese on top. |
