This is my mom's stuffing recipe. I love it. Ingredients:
1/4 lb. pork sausage |
1/4 lb. butter |
1 large chopped onion |
1 cup diced celery |
2 tbsp. poultry seasoning |
1/2 tbsp. sage |
1 tbsp. salt |
1 tsp. pepper |
2 loaves day old bread cubed |
1 can chicken broth |
Directions:
1. Brown sausage in butter. 2. Add chopped onion and celery and soften. 3. Have cubed bread in a large container to mix in. 4. Sprinkle seasonings on bread. 5. Add the sausage mixture to it. 6. Add some of the broth to moisten it. Mix together. 7. Add more of the broth as needed. 8. If it becomes to moist add more bread. 9. Mix till it feels the right consistency. 10. Not too moist and not too dry. 11. Use the dressing to stuff a turkey. 12. Or bake alone at 350 oven for approximately an hour. 13. Check to make sure it isn't getting over cooked. |
