Sausage Balls are a Holiday classic, and Southern Living has updated them with the addition of chopped dates and pecans for a touch of sweetness. I have not tried these yet, but will do so very soon! Ingredients:
1 lb pork sausage |
2 cups biscuit mix |
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans |
1 (8 ounce) package dates, chopped |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients. 2. Stir well and shape into 1-inch balls. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until browned. 3. Serve warm or at room temperature. Yield: 4 1/2 dozen. |
