This recipe came from Frankie, a good friend of mine and a good cook. Ingredients:
3/4 lb pork sausage (jimmy dean) |
1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced |
1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated |
1 tablespoon flour |
2 eggs |
1 cup evaporated milk (fat-free skim) |
1 tablespoon parsley flakes |
3/4 teaspoon seasoning salt |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 (9 inch) deep dish pie shells |
Directions:
1. Cook sausage. 2. Sauté onion in pork fat. 3. Combine cheese and flour and stir in with sausage and onion. 4. Pour in pie shell and mash it down. 5. Mix all other ingredients together and pour in pie shell. 6. Cook at 375°F for 35 to 40 minutes. |
