Full of flavor, eggs, sausage, cheese, with a few spice thrown in between. I got this recipe from a friend of mine at church. It is a hit! Ingredients:
9 slices bread |
2 lbs sausages |
2 teaspoons prepared mustard |
16 ounces sharp cheddar cheese |
6 eggs |
2 (8 ounce) milk |
1 (8 ounce) heavy cream |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 dash pepper |
1 dash nutmeg |
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. Place bread in well-buttered 9x13 inch casserole dish to cover bottom. Brown sausage, drain and mix in mustard. Place sausage evenly over bread., sprinkle cheese over sausage (can stop here and freeze). Combine eggs, milk, cream and seasonings. Pour over casserole. Bake in oven at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until set in middle. |
