I've made this many times for breakfast when I have house guests. People always ask for the recipe! Ingredients:
6 eggs |
6 slices white bread, broken in pieces |
1 lb mild sausage |
1 1/4 cups milk |
3/4 cup half-and-half cream |
1 cup swiss cheese, shredded |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
nutmeg (to garnish) |
Directions:
1. Fry and drain the sausage well. Beat the eggs, combine with all ingredients and pour into a buttered 13x9 glass baking dish. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake for 45 minutes at 350*. |
