Sausage Breakfast Burgers |

A nice spicy twist on those fast food breakfast sandwiches. Ingredients:
1 (16oz) package bulk spicy pork sausage |
2 tablespoons butter, softened |
5 hamburger buns, split |
5 eggs |
15 slices dill pickle |
5 slices pepperjack cheese |
1 small red onion, sliced |
10 pickled jalapeno slices (optional) |
Directions:
1. Form the sausage into 5 patties, and fry over medium high heat until cooked through 2. Remove and drain on paper towels 3. Melt butter in another large skillet, and toast the buns over medium heat until golden brown 4. Break the eggs the eggs into the same skillet used to cook the sausage 5. Cook until the white is completely set, turn over and cook until the yolk is to the diners' preferences 6. Stack your toasted buns starting with the pickles and jalapeno slices on the bottom, then the cooked sausage, pepperjack cheese, egg and onion 7. Cover with the top of the bun and enjoy. |
