Sausage Bean Patch Casserole |

Thanks to my friend Carol for this hearty picnic recipe. It goes a long way serving a large crowd. Ingredients:
1 lb breakfast sausage |
1 lb hot italian sausage |
6 slices bacon |
2 cups onions, chopped |
1 cup chopped celery |
1 (12 ounce) can pork and beans |
1 (15 ounce) can green beans, drained |
1 (15 ounce) can yellow beans, drained |
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained |
1 (15 ounce) can lima beans, drained |
2 tablespoons salad mustard (like french's mustard) |
1/2 teaspoon chili powder |
salt and pepper |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato soup |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste |
Directions:
1. Brown sausages, break into small pieces with a fork. Drain. 2. Mix sausages with the rest of the ingredients. 3. Place in 9 x 13 casserole. 4. Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered for 1 1/2 hours. |
