Haven't tried it yet, but it sounds good Ingredients:
1/2 lb pork sausage |
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans |
1 1/2 cups canned tomatoes |
2 cups water |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 bay leaf |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/4 teaspoon thyme |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup potato, diced |
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped |
Directions:
1. Cook sausage in skillet and brown. 2. Pour off fat. 3. In a large kettle, combine beans, tomatoes, water, onion, bay leaf, salt, garlic salt, thyme and pepper. 4. Add sausage. 5. Simmer, covered for 1 hour. 6. Add potatoes and green peppers. 7. Cook covered for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. 8. Remove bay leaf and serve. |
