Here is a version of sausage ball that calls for processed cheese sauce instead of shredded cheese, for easier handling. It's a quick and easy recipe for unexpected gatherings. Ingredients:
1/2 pound fresh, ground pork sausage |
1/2 pound fresh, ground spicy pork sausage |
3 ounces processed cheese sauce |
2 cups buttermilk biscuit dry mix |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). 2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine regular sausage with spicy sausage, cheese and biscuit mix. Mix well and form into small balls, about 1 to 1 1/2 inches diameter. Place on a cookie sheet. Bake until fully cooked, about 15 minutes. |
