I cut this recipe out of a newspaper a long time ago...it is easy and very tasty...we love crockpot cooking Ingredients:
3 strips bacon, cut into small pieces |
1 1/2 tablespoons flour |
2 (1 1/2 lb) cans sauerkraut |
3 lbs polish sausage, cut in 1 1/2 inch pieces |
2 small apples, cubed |
1/2 cup beer |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds (optional) |
Directions:
1. Fry bacon until crisp; drain. 2. Blend flour into bacon drippings. 3. Stir in sauerkraut. 4. Put sauerkraut mixture and bacon in slow electric cooker. 5. Add all other ingredients; stir together thoroughly. 6. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours (or on high 3 to 4 hours). |
