This is really good-REALLY. Try it, you'll be surprized! Ingredients:
1 lb smoked polish sausage, cut in 1/2 inch pieces |
1 tablespoon oil |
5 potatoes, peeled,and diced |
2 carrots, chopped |
4 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth |
1 teaspoon garlic, minced |
1/4 teaspoon caraway seed, optional |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 teaspoon thyme |
1 (32 ounce) can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
Directions:
1. In large pot, brown sausage pieces in oil. 2. Add next 7 ingredients; bring to a boil. 3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. 4. Add sauerkraut and tomato paste. 5. Bring back to a boil. 6. Cover and simmer another 15 minutes. |
