A great side dish or salad recipe that my mother used to make. Even the pickiest people who dislike sauerkraut like this salad. Ingredients:
1 onion; chopped |
1 pepper; chopped |
2 cups sugar (*see note) |
1/4 cup oil |
1/4 cup pimentos |
1 cup sauerkraut |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate until ready to serve. 2. NOTE: Start off with 1 to 1 1/2 cups sugar and add more if needed. |
