Great side dish with brats that have been steamed in beer and then grilled. Especially in the fall. Ingredients:
2 lbs. of refrigerator pack sauerkraut |
2 cups of dry white wine |
1 teaspoon of salt |
1 tablespoon of caraway seed |
1 teaspoon of allspice |
1/2 cup of butter |
sour cream |
1/2 cup of crisp cooked crumbled bcon |
Directions:
1. Drain sauerkraut well. 2. combine with wine, caraway, allspice and butter. 3. Cover and simmer over low heat 20 minutes. 4. Serve topped with sour cream and crumbled bacon. |
