Saucy Meatball Mania (The Best Meatballs!) |

This is just a recipe I threw together one day and found it to be quite good.Its better using a mix of ground pork and beef but using beef alone is awesome too. Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground beef |
1/2 lb ground pork |
salt and pepper |
1 teaspoon dijon mustard |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
3 garlic cloves |
1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional) |
1 large egg |
olive oil |
32 ounces tomatoes |
1 bunch of chopped oregano, and |
fresh basil |
grated cheese (optional) |
Directions:
1. Wash hands. 2. Place all ingregients in a large mixing bowl. 3. Combine with hands to mix everything together. 4. Make small evenly shaped rolled balls,set to one side (they can be left in fridge to firm up). 5. Heat a frying pan with 1tbsp olive oil. 6. When pan is hot, place meatballs inside. 7. When meatballs are throughly cooked turn down the heat to low-medium. 8. Add cans of TOMATOES rest of GARLIC CLOVES.OREGANO.BASIL. 9. Season with salt and Pepper. 10. Gently stir contents. 11. Serve on a bed of spaghetti and sprinkle meatballs with some grated cheese. |
