Enjoy these tasty hoagies filled with meatballs and cheese made using Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ fire roasted tomato cooking sauce--dinner ready in 20 minutes. Ingredients:
1 (9 ounce) pouch progresso™ recipe starters™ fire roasted tomato cooking sauce |
24 frozen cooked meatballs |
4 hoagie buns, split |
1 cup shredded pizza cheese blend or mozzarella cheese |
garnishes, if desired |
green or red bell pepper, cut into thin strips (optional) |
thinly sliced sweet onion (optional) |
Directions:
1. Set oven control to broil on low. In 2-quart saucepan, mix cooking sauce and meatballs over medium heat. Cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot. 2. Place open buns on large cookie sheet. Fill each with 6 meatballs; spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons sauce over meatballs. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese. Place under broiler 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with bell pepper and onion. |
