another great version of the crazy cake recipe that makes it's own sauce Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided use |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, divided use |
1/2 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
1 1/2 cups hot water |
Directions:
1. In a 9-inch square baking pan, combine flour, 3/4 cup of the sugar, baking powder and salt. 2. Blend in butter and 1/4 cup of the cocoa powder. 3. Add to dry ingredients along with the milk and vanilla. 4. Mix well with fork. 5. Combine remaining 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa powder and nuts. 6. Sprinkle over batter. 7. Carefully pour hot water over all. 8. Do not stir. 9. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 40 to 45 minutes. 10. Serve with vanilla ice cream. |
