Whole cauliflower served on a platter. Ingredients:
whole head cauliflower(do not cut up) |
6 strips bacon,cut in pieces |
1 small onion,chopped fine |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 tablespoons cider vinegar |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
dry roasted sunflower seeds |
Directions:
1. Clean and boil the whole cauliflower,for 20 minutes. 2. Do not over cook. 3. Drain 4. Make the sauce,brown the bacon 5. Remove the bacon from the pan and all but 3 tablespoons of the fat. 6. Saute the onion in the fat. 7. Add sugar,salt,vinegar,and pepper 8. Heat 9. Pour sauce hot over the cauliflower and sprinkle with bacon bits and sunflower seeds if you like. |
