This recipe was highly recommended by my Aunt Lena, she just got it and has made 2 cakes already..... Ingredients:
2 cups apples, peeled (about 3) |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 cup butter |
2 eggs |
1 cup flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup 18% cream (or more) |
1/4 cup butter |
Directions:
1. In bowl cream sugar, butter and eggs. In another bowl mix flour, cinnamon, soda and salt until well blended. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture until well combined. Add apples, your batter will be very thick. Add batter to 9 inch well greased baking dish. Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 - 40 minutes. 2. Sauce:. 3. In saucepan combine all ingredients for the sauce. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Serve warm sauce over cake. Enjoy. |
