these take a little more effort since you will use that saucepan to do a bit of cooking but they are very much worth it. We used to refer to these as Better than Sex brownies. Thanks to pinkie kookie who found the recipe for me when I lost it!!! She found it
Ingredients:
1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
3/4-1 cup cocoa powder
2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
1. Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Mix cocoa and sugar; stir into melted butter with wooden spoon. Continue stirring over low heat until ingredients are well blended. Beat in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; mix in vanilla. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to cocoa mixture and beat to mix thoroughly. Stir in nuts. Spread in 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Bake in oven for 30 minutes, or until top has a dull crust and slight imprint remains when lightly touched. Do not overbake. Cool and cut into squares. Makes 32 squares.
