This is a recipe I recieved from my sister many years ago. The recipe is really for the sauce, and roasting, so as to the amount of pork spare ribs you need depends on what you want to cook and ajust sauce accordingly. Ingredients:
1/3 cup chopped fine onion |
1/3 cup chopped fine green pepper |
1/2 cup heinz chili sauce |
1/2 cup crushed undrained pineapple |
8 ounces hunts tomato sauce |
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice |
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder |
rib |
Directions:
1. Cook your ribs in a greased covered pan at 350 for 1 1/2 hours alone. 2. While ribs are roasting prepare sauce. 3. Mix all ingredients well and let stand for the one hour while ribs are roasting. 4. Pour sauce over ribs and baste well. 5. Cook uncovered 50 minutes, keep basting often. |
