Ingredients:
1 cup(s) flour |
2 teaspoon(s) sugar |
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
3/4 cup(s) buttermilk (substitute w/ 3/4 2% milk and 1 tbsp white wine vinegar) |
1/4 cup(s) milk |
1 large egg separated |
1 tablespoon(s) butter melted |
Directions:
1. Heat griddle to 200 degrees (medium setting) or pan 2. Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, baking powder in a bowl, set aside. 3. In separate bowl, combine buttermilk, milk, and egg white. mix well 4. In third bowl, combine egg yolk with melted butter. 5. Starting with the milk mixture, add to dry ingredients, mixing in a little bit at a time and breaking up any flour lumps. Finally, add butter mixture. 6. Use approx. 1/4 Cup mixture for each pancake, allowing each side to cook 1-2 minutes per side or until a light golden color. Enjoy :) |
