Ingredients:
1 lb brussels sprout, cleaned, cut in half stem to top, thinly sliced cross wise |
4 shallots, halved and thinly sliced |
4 tablespoons butter, divided |
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/2 cup water |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. In medium skillet over medium high heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter. 2. Saute the onions until softened. 3. Season with salt and pepper. 4. Add the vinegar and sugar. 5. Mix until sugar has dissolved. 6. Remove to bowl and set aside. 7. Add another 1 tablespoons butter to the pan. 8. Saute the Brussels Sprouts for 5 minutes. season with salt and pepper. 9. Add the water, 1 tablespoons butter and cook, uncovered, until done. 10. Toss with the onions and heat through. |
