                    Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1 cup butter or margarine  |  
                                                1 (16-ounce) package light brown sugar  |  
                                                2 eggs, beaten  |  
                                                2 cups all-purpose flour  |  
                                                2 teaspoons baking powder  |  
                                                pinch of salt  |  
                                                1 cup chopped pecans  |  
                                                1 teaspoon vanilla extract  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar; mix well. Remove from heat. Stir in eggs, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add pecans and vanilla, mixing well. 2. Pour batter into a greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
