This sugar free barbecue sauce will appeal to those who are diabetic, but who still like a spicy sauce with their grilled meat. Serve with chicken, beef or pork as a dipping sauce, or use as a basting sauce. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons tomato paste (puree) |
1 cup sugar free cola |
1 tablespoon onion, finely diced |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon minced garlic |
1 teaspoon sugar substitute |
1/4 cup red wine |
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredient together in a small pot. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. |
