Another recipe from the newspaper, if miniature bars are not available, fun size can be cut in two and used. you can also use any of the fillowing if you don't want to use snickers bars: or mounds or almond joy or milky way bars Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1 cup peanut butter, chunky |
1 cup light brown sugar |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon almond flavoring |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
3 1/2 cups flour |
2 eggs |
1 (12 ounce) package snickers candy bars, miniature |
Directions:
1. Combine butter, peanut butter, and sugar. Mix at medium speed until light and fluffy. Slowly add eggs and almond flavoring, mixing thoroughly. Add salt, baking soda and flour, blend at medium speed until thoroughly mixed.
2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
3. unwrap candy, mold 1 tablespoon dough over a piece candy. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake at 300 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until set.
5. Remove from baking sheets and cool on a baking rack. Dust cooled cookies with powdered sugar and drizzle with melted chocolate bark.
6. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
