In my never-ending quest to figure out what to do with that bottle of burgundy wine I opened. (I only used 1/2 cup of it in a previous recipe) I found this recipe for Sangrias. Now what do I do with the rest of the orange liqueur? I see another mission in my future. Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup lemon juice, fresh |
1/2 cup orange juice |
1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur |
1 (750 ml) bottle burgundy wine |
1/2 lemon, sliced |
1/2 orange, sliced |
ice |
Directions:
1. In a plastic container (with lid) combine sugar, lemon& orange juices, liqueur and wine; stir. 2. Refrigerate for several hours. 3. Pour into pitcher add lemon and orange slices. 4. Serve over ice. |
