Sandy's Rhubarb Custard Dessert |

This is a dessert I made when our girls were little and it is worth trying again. Ingredients:
3 eggs |
3 tablespoons milk |
2 cups sugar |
1/4 cup flour |
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
4 cups rhubarb |
1 tablespoon butter |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs and add milk. Mix sugar, flour and nutmeg ; stir inches Mix in rhubarb that is cut up. Using your own pie pastry line either a pie pan or a rectangle size baking dish. Then pour rhubarb mixture into pastry. I do not put pastry on the top as I perfer it open and served with cream or 1/2 & 1/2. Nicely brown on top before taking from oven. Oven temperature 400. |
