This recipe was published in The Blade (Toledo, Ohio) on 08/04/09. The cited source is California Table Grape Commission. Note that the recipe recommends that you make it ahead of time to allow the flavors to blend. Cooking time is blending time. Yield is a guess, as I have not made this. Ingredients:
1 (750 ml) bottle red wine, full-bodied dry |
2 cups grapes, red, seedless |
1 orange, cut into 1/4 (6 mm) |
1 nectarines or 1 peach, cut into thin wedges |
2 tablespoons honey |
1 cup soda water (optional) |
8 small clusters green grapes |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except soda water and grape clusters in a pitcher. Stir well. 2. Refrigerate for 2-24 hours to allow flavors to meld. 3. Add soda water, if desired, and serve with or without the fruit pieces, in glasses garnished with the small clusters of grapes. |
