These are very tasty. Kelly enjoys these. They are easy to make. Ingredients:
37 saltine crackers |
1 cup butter, cubed |
3/4 cup sugar |
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1 white chocolate baking square |
1 teaspoon shortening |
Directions:
1. Place crackers in a single layer in a foil-lined 15-in X 10-in X 1-in baking pan. 2. In a saucepan, bring butter and sugar to a boil. 3. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 or 6 minutes or until mixture is thickened and sugar is completely dissolved. 4. Spread over crackers. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until bubbly. 6. Sprinkle with chips. 7. Bake 3-5 minutes longer or until chips begin to melt. 8. Spread chocolate evenly over top. 9. Melt white chocolate and shortening. 10. Drizzle over toffee. 11. Chill for 15-20 minutes or until set. 12. Break into pieces. 13. Store in the refrigerator. |
