SALMON PUFFS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Love Estate in Sachse, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
8 ounces canned salmon drained |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms |
1/4 cup green pepper chopped |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
2 eggs separated |
Directions:
1. Combine salmon, milk, mushrooms and green pepper then bake at 375. 2. Meanwhile beat egg whites with salt until stiff. 3. Beat egg yolks then fold whites into yolks a little at a time. 4. Pour over salmon mixture and return to oven for another 20 minutes. |
