This was one of Dad's favorites, plus it felt special whenever mom made it because I didn't know of any other families who ate salmon. It was especially good when Mom added a little fat to the skillet to give a crispy golden brown crust to the patties. Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) can salmon |
1 egg |
8 -10 saltine crackers (or enough to thicken) |
Directions:
1. In bowl, mix salmon, egg and however many soda crackers to takes to thicken the mixture. All the juice will become absorbed. 2. Fry patties in a skillet with fat in it until golden brown on each side. |
