This is a very old recipe. I'm guessing on the amount of flour. Holy mackerel does it have a lot of stuff in it! Ingredients:
3/4 cup dark corn syrup |
3/4 cup molasses |
3/4 cup sorghum |
1 cup brown sugar |
3/4 cup honey |
1 cup lard |
1 cup butter |
2 eggs |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
2 teaspoons cardamom |
1 teaspoon anise |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon clove |
1 teaspoon ginger |
5 cups flour |
1/2 cup milk |
1 cup almonds, ground |
Directions:
1. see lol 2. Make dough stiff to roll out the next morning. 3. Cut oblong but not too large. 4. Bake in moderate oven 15 minutes or so 375 degrees . 5. When coo,l frost with white almond bark. 6. Dough keeps 2 weeks in fridge. |
