Seasoned ground beef patties in a red wine and carrot sauce. Delicious over potatoes, or whatever carb you want. Ingredients:
1 lb. lean ground beef |
1/2 medium onion, grated |
2 tbsp all purpose flour |
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce |
1/2 tsp seasoned salt |
1/2 tsp thyme |
1/8 tsp pepper |
3 tbsp skim milk |
1 cup low sodium beef broth |
1/2 cup red wine, dry |
1/4 cup carrots |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine all meat patty ingredients except milk. Add milk and stir again. Shape into 8 patties, cover, and refrigerate. 2. Heat heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add beef patties and brown for 5 to 6 minutes per side, until done. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels, pour off liquid from skillet and return to heat. 3. Add wine, broth, and carrots. Bring to a boil over high heat and reduce by a third, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add beef patties, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley when done. |
