Good old salisbury steak...(Note: I use Campbell's onion soup - not French onion soup) Ingredients:
2 cups sliced mushrooms |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 lb lean ground beef |
1 egg, beaten |
1 small onion, chopped fine |
1/4 cup breadcrumbs |
salt |
pepper |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 (10 ounce) can condensed french onion soup |
15 ounces water (1 1/2 soup cans) |
Directions:
1. Saute mushrooms in butter. Remove mushrooms from pan and set aside. 2. Mix together beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form into 4 patties. 3. Brown in same pan (add more fat if necessary). 4. Add onion soup and water. Simmer 10 minute. 5. Add mushrooms and heat through. |
