Salad Dressing Cake And Frosting |

This is from one of my Great's. Not sure which one. Again, using past experience on the directions! Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1 cup salad dressing (like miracle whip) |
1 cup hot water |
1 tsp salt |
1/2 cup coca (scant) |
1 tsp soda |
2 cups flour |
dressing |
2 tbs shortening |
2 tbs oleo (i use butter) |
1 cup sugar |
amount of cocoa to your taste |
1/3 cup milk |
pinch of salt |
Directions:
1. Cake:
2. Combine all ingredients. pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 to 375 for about 35 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean.
3. Cool
4. Frosting:
5. Beat all ingredients well and frost cake.
