Saki, Japanese wine, makes a tasty addition to the marinade for these shrimp kabobs. Ingredients:
1/2 cup soy sauce |
1/4 cup oil |
1/4 cup sake (japanese wine) |
1 teaspoon ground ginger |
2 teaspoons garlic, minced |
1 1/2 lbs large shrimp, shelled |
mixed mushrooms |
1 small onion |
cherry tomatoes |
rice, pilaf |
Directions:
1. Combine soy sauce, oil, Saki, garlic and ginger; marinate shrimp about 2 hours. 2. If you like softer grilled veggies, microwave them first to your taste. Skewer shrimp with a combination of mushrooms, onions and tomatoes. Grill or broil 10 to 12 minutes, turning frequently. Serve over rice pilaf. |
