An aromatic golden salt that adds exotic flair to grilled chicken, fish or vegetables. Ingredients:
1/3 cup sea salt |
1 (1 g) package saffron thread (about 2 tsp/10 ml) |
1/2 teaspoon water |
Directions:
1. In clean spice or coffee grinder, pulse together salt, saffron and 1/2 tsp (2 mL) water until vibrant yellow with a few saffron threads intact. 2. Store in dark glass or nonreactive airtight container in cool dark place for up to 1 month. |
