Saffron Rice

Ingredients:
4 tbs butter, or ghee
1 cup rice
2 cups stock (beef, chicken, or fish)
1/4 tsp saffron or substitute 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp brown sugar
Directions:
1. Heat the butter or Ghee in a skillet and saute the rice over medium heat until it is golden-brown, about 8 minutes. Add the stock and bring to a boil.
2. Immediately remove from the heat and stir in all the remaining ingredients. Transfer to a ceramic baking dish and bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. For a crispier rice, remove the cover during the last 15 minutes.
