Mayonnaise goes highbrow with saffron threads and lemon in this simple recipe. Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon saffron threads |
3/4 cup mayonnaise |
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice |
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. In a small frying pan over medium-low heat, toast saffron just until fragrant, stirring occasionally, about 2 minutes. Pour into a small bowl, then crumble. Stir in remaining ingredients.
