Ingredients:
1 pinch saffron thread (about 8 crumbled)
1/2 teaspoon hot water
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (or more to taste)
1/4 teaspoon tomato paste
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
1. Put saffron threads in a small cup, then add hot water and let stand 5 minutes.
2. Purée saffron mixture with remaining ingredients in a mini food processor or a blender until smooth.
3. Taste and adjust seasoning- You may even add a dash of hot sauce if desired!
